What's Your Therapole?
Jax Spencer is a self-taught pole dancer and is the owner & Master Instructor of The Pole Academy in Greenville, South Carolina. This summer she will have been pole dancing for 15 years!
She found pole happily by accident and has been involved with teaching, performing, judging and traveling ever since! She is known for her freestyle flow, slinky transitions and her love of splits. With no dance background experience or flexibility, Jax is proof that anyone can find the passion of pole dance and her studio has a theme: TheraPole!
Jax is very active in the pole community and loves sharing tutorials and advice, bringing folks together and is the creator of many Facebook groups including the "You Know When" Collective and 'Polerinos".
Jax LOVES being involved in the community and hoarding accolades like Pokemon! She is a certified XPERT, CRNP and Twerk Technician Trainer, instructor for Get Fit & Pole, First Aid certified, a PSO Unicorn & Judge, IPIA Member and an ambassador for Hoodlum Fang and Heaux Apparel.
When I first came began working with Jax I was hesitant due to having a less than stellar experience with a previous instructor. Jax quickly proved that she was knowledgeable and accepting of all body types and levels of experience. Being a plus size poler comes with its own challenges but she was able to develop routines that fit my skill level and that made me feel confident in my body. Jax is a phenomenal instructor and I can’t recommend her enough!
